Last week we celebrated my Parent In-Laws birthday’s (they decided to combine their b-day celebrations). We had hamburgers and a yummy cake. It was a relaxing time. I’m truly blessed in the In-Laws department because we honestly get along very well.

The weather here in the PNW is just gorgeous! The last couple of weeks I’ve been into gardening because of the weather and I really enjoy growing our own food. We did it last year and I think it was a success. Lots of herbs and veggies like broccoli and zucchini. I will take more pictures once I’m done because I’m just starting and I still have plans to buy more herbs and veggies. Are you going to have a garden this year?

Hubby and I vacationed last year in Mexico (Cozumel and Playa De Carmen). It was our first time to see Mexico and we both loved it. Sunshine and white pristine sand beaches, what more could we ask for? We mostly stayed in our hotel and just relaxed on the beach and snorkeled everyday, drank margaritas, lounged in the pool and ate nonstop:) We got spoiled during our stay there and we plan to be back this year. Here are my favorite pictures from the trip:

Hello everyone! I’m still alive here! I haven’t posted since forever. I do have a reason why I didn’t post anything here since last year. December of last year my Dad passed away and I went back to the Philippines to be with my family. I miss my Dad, but I know that he’s with the Lord now and no more cancer for him! Life will not be the same anymore but knowing that God is in control of everything helps me heal and enjoy my life since my Dad’s passing. I will try to post more often here and get back to blogging and posting recipes, foodie pics and things I’ve been doing lately. Miss you all family and friends!

Last Monday was my Hubs birthday, and we already celebrated in advance with his family (Sunday night and cooked Paella.) I had an extra voucher for melting pot that I wanted to use before it expired, so we decided to use it for my Hubs actual birthday. We ordered the spinach artichoke cheese fondue and it is my favorite so far. We’ve been to Melting Pot a lot of times and this is our first time to order the spinach cheese fondue, it didn’t disappoint. Sorry for the dark pictures as we are still using the iPad for pictures and the restaurant was kinda dark. Happy Birthday week my Love!

Today is my Husband’s birthday but we celebrated it yesterday evening together with his Parents and Sister. We prepared Paella and it turned out great. I was kinda nervous because this was our first time making this dish. I thought it was simple based on the blogs and recipes we’ve read but when it’s your first time to make something, I’ve found that it’s not always smooth sailing. I’m just so glad that it turned out well and my In laws enjoyed it. Hubs and I also watched two movies this weekend, Life of Pi and Skyfall. I really enjoyed them both. Tonight we’ll be going to Melting Pot to have a birthday dinner for my Hubs:)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you had a great time with family and friends and eating yummy Thanksgiving food. I’m grateful for a blessed life with my amazing Hubs, and family here in U.S and back home in the Philippines. We spent our Thanksgiving dinner at my In-law’s house, they always host the annual Thanksgiving dinner. My Dad In-Law smoked half of the turkey and it was the BOMB!! I can honestly say it’s the best turkey I’ve had. It’s so good! I prepared three side dishes to bring, Green Bean Casserole(Paula Deen’s recipe), Roasted Veggies (Ina Garten’s), Beet Salad with Gorgonzola cheese (online recipe).

It’s been a cold weekend here in the Puget Sound, but that did not stop us from visiting Seattle and checking out Pike Place Market. One of my favorite places in Seattle! Originally we wanted to go to Chinatown but we had a hard time looking for parking, and so much road construction made it hard to walk around. So off we went to Pike Place market:) We had Piroshkies, Macaroons and coffee! Hope you had a great weekend too:)

I know I’ve been slacking on my posts for the last couple of weeks(almost a month), I just don’t have a lot of things to say and find myself not enjoying the posting of my foodie pics and recipes. I kinda miss it though, it’s not that I’m not doing anything fun or eating yummy food because I’m still cooking most of the time. Speaking of fun, I wanted to share one of our “fall bucket list items” that we did couple of weeks ago. Here’s some of our Pumpkin Patch pics:) Enjoy!

We had our friends Ethan, Lena and the kids over tonight for dinner. We had some simple soups, clam chowder and tomato soup (from Costco) and at the last minute I asked my Hubby to make cheese fondue (we had gruyere cheese). Nothing like a great relaxing time with friends:)
