I hope everybody had a good Valentines today, spending time with your favorite people! We had a simple Valentines day at home. This will be our 5th Valentines as a married couple, and the last 2 Valentines we spent it at home. We will have dinner tomorrow in Seattle though, so it will be a late celebration. I didn’t ask for any gifts or flowers from my hubs today because I don’t want any of that (reading too many frugal books is rubbing off on me!). We got some Starbucks (BOGO!) and my favorite french fries this afternoon so that was my Valentine “treat” from him! I’d rather have coffee than flowers! For dinner we had chicken cordon blue(we got from our local meat shop) and I roasted brussels sprouts for our side dish. It was good!
Food This Week!
Happy Weekend family and friends! We had a snowy weekend here in the Pacific Northwest! It’s all melting now so we are good this week. The weather forecast says we’ll have rain this week. Hubs and I are sick so we stayed home the whole day and watch our church’s service online. I read and nap most of the day while Hubby played video games and did some work. Just wanted to share what I cooked and our food this week:

We also went out and had dinner at Chipotle,Jollibee(for me)Hawaiian Grill(for Hubby where he had kalua pork)

We went to Seattle last wednesday and had lunch at Pot Belly Sandwich:

I also just want to include my savings this week:

Some of our pics this week!

Books!
One of my goals this year is to read more books. I gave my hubby a kindle last Christmas and we’ve been enjoying it so far and putting it to good use. I do read a lot of Christian homemakers blogs, frugal blogs, couponing blogs. It’s fun learning how others save money, share their homemaking skills, recipes, fashion, time management and home decorating( just about anything under the sun). The month of January these are the books I’ve read:

SUPERBOWL!
Congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks for winning Superbowl 48! We are from the PNW so we support the Seahawks all the way. We’re not big football fans (I prefer the NBA, while hubby is not a big sports fan) but we still watch and enjoy football every now and then. This season though we watched all of the Seahawks games, I’m still not over their game 2 weeks ago against the niners(that game was intense!). So tonight as they won their first Superbowl, we can’t help but get so excited and happy for Seattle/WA state. One of my favorites is Russell Wilson our QB. He is a strong Christian and never fails to give Glory to God. He surely deserves the championship. We watched the game at our friends house. They had a huge TV(65 inches),my goodness it was so much fun. Yummy food, great company, Superbowl Championship! What a crazy weekend!

Food this week!
Hello family and friends! I hope you had a great Saturday:) A quick post of what we ate for the last week of January. I’m really sticking to my meal plans and it’s such a big help to me. It does save us time and money. I already have my meal plan for next week( I got some of the ingredients after my Zumba class). It’s such a pain to go grocery shopping during weekends and with the Superbowl tomorrow (GO HAWKS!) I swear everybody is in the store. Anyways, food we had this week:
Midnight snack last thursday night while watching a tagalog movie:
Savings!
Late night run to Target and Walgreens tonight! I really didn’t have plans to shop tonight but my Starbucks coupons expire today and my hubby really likes their frappuccinos.

I’m running low on my coffee creamer and Target has them for 2/$3. I drink coffee everyday so I always take advantage if they’re on sale.

Savings!
Hi everyone, just a quick post of my savings last week. Lowes.com had a clearance sale of their detergents and I was quick to get some before they ran out of their supply (lots of couponers in the WA area I’ve noticed). I will be sending all of the detergents to my mom in the Philippines, they are not HE type so I cannot use them here. I think this will last her for a year or two. I bought some produce too but forgot to take a picture, as I always wash and put them in the refrigerator right away. Happy Savings friends!

Food this week!
Hello family and friends, I hope you had a fun weekend. We watched a movie yesterday (Jack Ryan: shadow recruit) and had dinner at our local favorite Greek place. It was a quiet weekend for us. It’s been a hard week for me, got some sad news from a close friend in PI and my heart just broke for her. Praying for a good week for everybody. Anyways, I think I’m gonna start posting what we eat every week. My blog is like my food diary and I think it’s fun to see what we ate over the years. Here’s what we ate this week:

We had dinner out last night at Tantalus Greek Restaurant(Issaquah) after we watched the movie Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (Chris Pine you’re one good looking actor!)

I’m off to look at my freezer and refrigerator so I can start my meal plan for this week! See Yah later!
Recent Dishes!
It’s been a while since I posted here, we’ve been busy around here. Riley (our mini schnauzer) had an ear infection and we had to bring him to the vet. He’s doing so much better now and I’m just so glad he’s back to his normal happy self. I also started my Women Bible study every Tuesday morning, we are studying Gideon (based from the Book of Judges) by Priscilla Shirer! Zach and I also have a Bible study every Monday evening at our friends house.
One of my goals this new year is to cook more dishes at home, and to try new recipes and dishes that me and my Hubs will like. I have a lot of cooking magazines so getting inspiration is not a problem! I’ve been meal planning since last year but this new year I will really try to stick to it because it makes my life easy (knowing what we’ll be eating for the week) and saves money and time. Here’s what I’ve been cooking lately:

We also had take-outs and dine out a couple of times!

We’ve been eating yummy food lately! I’m looking forward to my meal planning tomorrow because that means we’ll probably have yummy food these coming days. We shall see! I hope you all have a good week and GO SEAHAWKS!!
Savings!
I shopped at Walgreens and Fred Meyer today. I plan to send a balikbayan box to my mom and brother next month so I was on the look out for sale and clearance items. Most of the clearance items are candies and I have enough candies to send back home. So I passed on that deal. Here’s my haul today:
