Vancouver,Canada

We are finally here in Vancouver after 4.5 hours in the car! The traffic was really bad, the 2.5 hours drive end up like forever…Goodness, we’ve been here before and we really like Vancouver, so I’m excited for the weekend:) I’m excited for our “window” shopping around Robson St., No budget for shopping for me!hehehe…I hope you guys had a fun weekend:)

Happy Hour @ John Howie steakhouse!

Sis and I went to John Howie earlier this week for happy hour!  The original plan was just to get some cupcakes and window shop:)  The cupcake shop was 4 stores away from the resto and we always wanted to try John Howie’s happy hour.  We’ve heard before that their  happy hour is a good one, and it didn’t disappoint:)

El Gaucho

We celebrated Valentines day with a dinner at El Gaucho (steakhouse in Seattle).  It was our first time to dine in this restaurant and decided to put the gift card from my in-law’s to use.  It didn’t disappoint!  We really enjoyed our first dining experience here.  The food was amazing (hubby was really happy with his steak), the ambiance was perfection (classy and romantic!), and the service was great.

weekend fun!

We spent our weekend eating out and going to the movies. But my fave thing that we did was watch the ballet performance of Don Quixote! Friday Night we had dinner at Pogacha (it’s an Italian Resto), I had a coupon that was expiring so I suggested this place. Our food was Ok,nothing special but I like the place coz it’s cozy with lots of nice wall decors!

Superbowl weekend!!

What a great weekend we had here in Washington State!  The sun was out and we went to Alki beach to enjoy the view, got some coffee, and ate fish & chips!  Seattle is such a pretty city; I’m grateful to be living here.  Hubs and I are not into football (but we do watch NBA games), however, we watched the game tonight and I did enjoy the halftime show and some commercials.  I prepared chicken wings while hubby made spinach and guacamole dips and dessert (chocolate mousse).

Weekend Recap!!

We had a fun and tiring weekend!  We did our first 5K race in cold, rainy, windy Seattle (Magnuson Park). For our “reward” we had Pho after and it was just the perfect comfort food after being outside in this kind of weather.  We also had the first snow this weekend and we spent our Sunday afternoon outside, playing in the snow and then enjoyed some hot chocolate drinks!

Weekend Fun!

We had a quiet weekend this week!  My husband was really busy with work and there’s nothing in the theater that we wanted to see.  We cooked crispy orange beef, watched netflix movies, walked the dog, and organized our Christmas decorations!  I showed Hubby some pictures of my lunch date with Sis and he can’t get over how “yummy” the Jambalaya looked.  He requested we have to go back to Flat Iron Grill so he can get his own jambalaya:) I was happy to oblige!

Dinner with Friends!

A week before Christmas, I invited my friend Faye and her family over for dinner!  It’s been a while since we saw each other because with my travel back to the Philippines and her giving birth to their second son,it was just impossible to have a little get together.  It was so nice to see and have dinner with them and finally get to spend time with my godson, Cyrus, and hold her new baby!  We had mac and cheese, mongolian beef, chicken mustard dish and cupcakes for dessert!
