Weekend Fun!!

We had a great weekend celebrating our Riley’s 2nd birthday. We had a simple dinner with my In laws here at our house (my Dad In Law prepared pulled pork) and Hubby took care of side dishes. Aside from that, it was a really relaxing weekend here at home. We watched a couple of movies, Church, arranged my stockpile, watched the U.S Olympics trials like they’re paying us:-)..our weekend in pics:-)

Happy Birthday Riley!!

Today (June 30th) is our Riley Puss’s 2nd birthday!  My In laws will be coming over for dinner to celebrate our love’s birthday with us. Riley is our mini schnauzer who is such a blessing in our family.  We got him when he was only 10 weeks old, and now he’s 2!  Time just flies so fast, I do miss how tiny he was when we got him. I still remember when Zach could carry him in his palm.  Happy Birthday Riley Puss Bates, you are so loved! Some of my favorite pics of our birthday boy:

Tandoori Fire Bar and Grill

We had dinner at Tandoori Fire Bar and Grill restaurant in Redmond last Saturday night because Hubby has been kinda craving Indian food lately.  I’m not a big Indian food fan but I can take it.  The spices are kinda strong for my taste, so I tend to just eat the same thing(I always order chicken tikka masala). That’s the main reason why we rarely eat Indian dishes/cuisine, but Zach really likes Indian food.  It’s been a while now since we had Indian food, so I suggested to Zach that we check this place at Redmond.  The food was really good!  I liked all the dishes we ordered and the Mango Lassi was the best I’ve had.  So good that we had to create one at home because I can’t stop talking about it to my Hubs!  The food was great but the service was awful, they only had two people working on a busy Saturday night and we had to wait for our food for a while and it took our check 30 minutes to arrive or something.  Anyways, it was still a great night with my Junlaboo!

Hello Summer!!

Summer is officially here and to welcome our summer I grilled Blue cheese burgers (Ina Garten inspired) and made Apple, blue cheese salad (Pioneer Woman recipe) and it was delicious dinner. We got our burger patties from Fischers market here in Issaquah and it’s really good meat.  Hubby and I are thinking of getting a BBQ grill for our yard so we can enjoy grilling outside. We have a charcoal one right now, but we are thinking of getting a gas one.  Cheers to summer!!

weekend fun!

We had a great Father’s day weekend here at home with my Hubby’s family. We prepared steaks, shrimp and enjoyed a coconut cream pie from the Dahlia Bakery for Father’s Day dinner. Hubby and I watched the movie Prometheus last Friday night at Seattle Cinerama (the best theater in Seattle but kinda expensive ,in my opinion) I got  a movie voucher that had free popcorn and that was expiring soon so I wanted to use it. Hubby wanted to watch the movie and enjoyed it but it’s not my kind of movie though. Before the movie, we had sushi and I ate too much salmon:-)

Weekend Fun!

Our weekend consisted of watching the movie, “The Avengers” (finally), Pizza, and a little road trip to Black Diamond where we got to see a great view of Mt. Rainier.  The weather was just glorious and sunny, so we really are enjoying it while the sun is here! I can’t wait for summer to be here..

Weekend Fun!!

I know this is kind of a late post from our weekend activities, but I’m posting anyway!  Hubby’s co-worker  invited him to go geoduck digging, and he was so excited to do this and “convinced” me to go with him. Hubby was having a grand time and this makes me happy knowing he’s enjoying his Saturday!  It was a long day though because we had to get up early and drive to Seattle and take the Ferry going to Bainbridge Island (where they did the digging). I’ve never had Geoduck before so it was also an exciting thing for me to witness, it took a while to even get one. But in the end it was worth it.  I can finally say I had geoduck “meat”, sashimi style, and it was tasty!  On another note, we hired a gardener last week to clean our yard and they “prepared” the area for our vegetable planter/box ,so last Sunday afternoon my DIL helped Hubby to finalize the box and this coming weekend will probably go to Home Depot and get soil so I can plant all the herbs and veggies that I’ve been dying to plant!

we have to take Riley with us, there’s no way he’ll be in the crate for more than 5 hours!

Memorial Day 2012 Part 2!

For part 2 of our Memorial weekend, My Dad In Law made some yummy ribs and we had dinner at our place. We all loved the ribs and Hubby made cornbread and potato salad:) I will have to post the recipes next week. I also watched a royal special on ABC this week.  I have this ongoing “HUGE” crush on Prince William for the last 17 years!!

Memorial Weekend

We spent our memorial weekend at Greenlake park in Seattle, we got lucky because of the nice sunny weather. We took Riley with us, and I was kinda nervous because I know there will be lots of people and I wasn’t sure if he’s going to “behave”.. He did so well, I’m a proud mamosh!  Memorial day, we had dinner here at the house and my Dad In law prepared some yummy ribs while my husband took care of the side dishes, he did German potato salad and cornbread (both were delicious). Enjoy the pics!
