Hello Friends! How was your weekend? Ours was busy and fun in a good way. The weathers been rainy and windy, so our activities were mostly indoors. Saturday, we watched the movie “Bridges of Spies” starring Tom Hanks and the movie was great. I highly recommend it (I will not be surprised if it will get some Oscars). After the movie we had dinner at the RAM (it’s a sports bar).
Dinner and Movie with my In Laws is always a good time!
Sunday, my In laws gave us tickets to watch a musical show “Snapshots” in our local “broadway” theater. We really enjoyed it and were grateful for the tickets, otherwise we would have missed a great show. We had some Chinese food after the play.

Hello friends! Hope you had a relaxing labor day weekend. Ours was a good one! The hubs and I enjoyed sushi and Korean drama (our latest thing!) friday evening. Take out food and movie/tv show marathon is one of my favorite date nights with hubs. The weather lately is one of the reasons we prefer staying at home. We’ve been having lots of thunderstorms and Riley is always stressed when he hears the thunder. No matter what we do to comfort him, nothing seems to work.
We finished the Korean drama “That Winter, The Wind Blows”. I really like the lead stars, they look so good together but the ending of the show was a little disappointing for us.
Saturday we went to the Evergreen State Fair! Had a blast with my In laws and we ate too much fair food:)
Elephant ear! Too much butter and sugar goodness..
We went to church Sunday morning, did a little grocery shopping after. Enjoyed teriyaki for lunch and a nap and lots of cuddling with Riley. We started another Korean drama show that my friend Faye recommended (Fated to Love) which is on Netflix right now. We finished the 20 episodes in 2 days ( I think we are lightly obsessed with RomCom shows lately).
Today (Monday,Labor Day) I did a lot in the kitchen. I roasted the tomatoes that we got from our garden and prepared Rileys food for 2 weeks. I wish we “trained” Riley how to eat commercial dog food (I’m sure there’s lot of decent dog food we can get him). I’ve been cooking his meal for the last year already ( Our vet gave me some recipes to use). He’s our fur baby so it’s worth it for us to make dog food from scratch, know what’s in his food. Back to the tomatoes, I’m looking forward to using my roasted tomatoes in the coming weeks for soups and pasta dishes.
We had Mexican takeout for our dinner tonight, nachos and beef taquitos are always good! Hubs bought some Krispy Kreme donuts for us because it was a long and tiring day of kitchen work:)
Hope you all have a good rest of the week everyone!
Hello friends! Hope you’re all having a good weekend. Today, me and the hubs met up with my In laws at the Evergreen State Fair (45 minutes drive from our place) and had a great time. I really like going to the fair (my personal favorite is the Washington State Fair) because it’s big, there are so many activities, and I love all the crazy things I get to see. The hubs is not so much into it, but he did it for me (according to him). We got lucky that the weather was perfect today, at least while we were there! We initially wanted to go last week, but it was raining hard and had a bad storm. We watched the animals (cows, horses, goats) but we missed the dogs, pigs, and sheep. It was a fun time with my In laws, I think everybody’s favorite about the fair was definitely the food. We totally dig the blooming onion! Till the next fair…
Hello friends! This past weekend, the Hubs and I went to the Seattle Street Food Festival (it was our first time) and it was such a fun event! Lots of food trucks and people (I think the sunny, great weather helped too). We ended up eating Pad Thai, Corn on the cob, a Shawarma and shared a Horchata and spiced pineapple. For dessert we had mini donuts! We devoured the maple bacon donuts, sooo good!
Hello everyone! Can you believe it’s already August? Next thing we know Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here! Anyways, I hope you all had a great weekend, the Hubs and I had a low key one because last weekend was busy at the Ocean with the family so we wanted to just have a “lazy” time this weekend. We watched the movie “Antman” (it’s been out for a while) and we really enjoyed it! It was such a fun movie:) We got some tacos after at the local taqueria (I ALWAYS get cabeza tacos). On Sunday, we watched our Church service online and dropped donations off at our local Value Village (it’s similar to Goodwill). We had sushi after because the Hubs just has to have his sushi fix every couple of weeks! I stopped at Walmart after because I’ve seen in my Instagram that they have their fall candle collections already. Too bad they were all out, but I’m gonna check again next week.
Tacos!
Car selfie! It’s about time we gotta do a couple selfie!
A little #OOTD ha!
Sushi Time!
We are OBSESSED with Jamba Juices Pina Colada drink!
Hello friends! Last weekend we celebrated my Sister in Law Julia’s birthday. My In laws ordered Ribs and fix-ins at Famous Daves (In Renton). It’s one of our fave BBQ places here in the Pacific Northwest! Too bad the restaurant is far from our place (I think it’s a 40 minute drive) depending on traffic. The Hubs made cornbread too because you can’t have ribs without some cornbread! We ate out on the deck because it was nice day and my MIL has covered the deck in pretty flowers, so we just had to eat outside. Happy Birthday Julia, many blessings to come your way!

Happy Weekend friends! Hope you had a restful and fun weekend with your loved ones. We (Hubs and I) went to our local farmer’s market yesterday (Saturday morning) and got some fresh and cheap produce. I always enjoy going to the market and exploring booths. I wish they were open everyday! Our market is open June – September (maybe till October?), so I always make sure I get to do this in the summer, after all they’re not around the whole year. One of my favorites are the fresh and very affordable flowers (they remind me of Pike Place Market and the flower section they have displayed!). They’re so pretty and the prices are not bad:) We skipped the food area because the lines were long, but they have decent selections like Thai, Greek, Mexican, Pizza, etc. We got some fresh corn, berries, sugar peas. We’ve already enjoyed the corn and berries, both were delicious.

lovely flowers!
Food truck! He’s done doing this farmers market thing!heheGot flowers for our friend Lena!We had the corn tonight with left over ribs and it was good!
We ended up going to Fat Burger after the market because I’ve never been to this Burger chain. I remember years ago when I asked Zach what the “worst” burger for him was and he answered “Fat Burger”! haha..so I’ve always been curious and wanted to check this place out, and see if he’s exaggerating or what! So off we go and I think the burger was decent, a little dry but definitely not the worst on my list! It actually reminded me of Jollibee burger (famous Filipino fast food). The place was cozy and lots of family we’re there too. I still prefer Five Guys over this place though.
Hello Friends! A couple of weeks ago, we went to Alki beach in Seattle (met with my In laws, they went biking that day) to see some “pirates” as part of the Seafare 2015 activities this year. It was Okay for me and we’ll probably not do it again next time just because it was too crowded, too loud (from the pirate cannons) and too hot especially for Riley! The parking was terrible, we had to walk almost a mile just to park the car. We did enjoy hanging out with my In laws for a while though and got some Filipino products after from Foulee (one decent Asian market in Seattle .) Hope you’re having a great day, we are enjoying some sunshine here in the Pacific Northwest and it’s just glorious:)
Happy Independence day, America! I’m so grateful to enjoy the freedom of living the American Dream. The Hubs and I (and Riley) stayed at home, though we had some invites from family and friends (thanks for being so thoughtful guys!) we did watch a movie and did some errands earlier today. We hope you are having a fun and safe 4th of July weekend! God Bless the U.S.A!
Some of the things we did today: cuddle with the fattypuss, Riley, enjoyed some Jamba juice, ordered pizza, did a little couponing:)
Hello Everyone! Hope you had a good Fathers day weekend. Ours was great! We had some nice, sunny weather in the Pacific North West. Saturday, Hubs and I, with our travel buddy Riley, went to the Tolt River (Carnation,WA) and spent Saturday afternoon there. The river water was pretty clear and low and they have an area were public fishing was opened and several people just did that.
I can’t even with this picture!Take out Thai food for dinner!
Sunday, Father’s Day, we had hamburgers to celebrate my Father In law. We ate on our patio and enjoyed the nice Sunday evening. My Dad is not with us anymore so Father’s day is kinda sad for me but I hope you guys had a great time with your Dads and celebrate them while they are still here! Have a great rest of your day, I’m off to garden right now:)
