Hello friends! We celebrated Mia’s 1st birthday last Saturday! We invited some of our family and friends. It was such a fun afternoon! Thanks to everyone who took the time to celebrate with us. She sure is growing so fast, we love seeing her little personality blossom. We love you Mia, you’re our little miracle and answered prayer from the Lord! We pray that you will have a heart for Jesus!

Hello friends, last week we spent 3 days at Wesport and Ocean Shores, WA! We try to do this every year (together with my In laws) as a family thing, but for the last couple of years we haven’t been doing it (last year I was pregnant with Mia, I didn’t feel like traveling).
We already have a “routine” every time we do this! First stop is always Brady’s Oysters(in Aberdeen) and get some smoked oysters and salmon to enjoy during this trip. We also get tuna belly and loin at one of the many boats at Westport too. After getting our seafood, we shared fish and chips from Bennett’s (so good).
After Wesport, Off to Ocean shores we go! I think the drive time is around 1 hour and 30 minutes. We rented a cottage house, that was just walking distance to the beach (5 minutes walk from Damon beach), we really like the rental it was clean and enough space for the whole family (plus it has a nice hot tub). We had fun times with family, especially Mia who get to experience the Ocean for the first time! Although Zach had a little injury ( he fell and twisted his ankle) and had to spend the afternoon in bed, it was still a good getaway with the family,we are already looking forward to next year! p.s: LOTS of pictures coming your way!

Hello Friends! Happy Labor day weekend. Hope you had a great and safe time doing fun things with family/friends. Ours was pretty busy over here! We went to the fair with family (eating junky fair food, which is my fave part!), and we attended our neighborhood labor day/bbq party!
Mia had a wonderful time at her first fair. She did so good despite it being so hot out! It got to at least 98 deg F in the shade! I wanted to take her on a carousel ride but she was too short for the ride, maybe next year!
We went to Church and then afterwards we discovered the Wing Stop restaurant near our favorite ramen place…and now it’s our new fave chicken place! Hubs and I loved all their different flavors and dips.
Hubs pickled our cucumbers from our garden, I’m excited to have this because he always wanted to try pickling and now it’s happening! HA! Good job, Ga:)
We joined our neighbood bbq/labor day get together and we brought deviled eggs and caramel flan (leche flan). It was nice to see and get to know more about our neighbors (more than the usual wave!). I love it, it’s so diverse! American, Indian, Chinese, South African, Filipino families in our area!
Hungry much ga?!
I’m off to bed now, it’s been a long busy yet fun day! Have a great day:)
Hi Friends! Last Sunday we visited and had lunch at Grandma Jean’s (Hub’s Grandma) house. We had a great time spending our afternoon with her. My In laws were also there so Mia got to see all of them. I like her spacious yard because she has lots of fruit trees like Apples and plums. She also grows blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. She told us to get as much as we wanted, so of course we obliged! The green apples are not that big,so we’ll probably just juice them. If my hubs is up for it, he might bake some sort of apple tart! He’s the baker in the family:) Love spending time with family.
4 Generations: Great grandma Jean, Grandma Kathy, Daddy Zach and Baby Mia!
Hello everyone! It’s been hot this week in the PNW and we’ve been really enjoying doing fun activities outside. We did a picnic at the newly renovated Bellevue park (such a great park), and enjoyed our local park too! Our tomatoes and purple hydrangeas are in full bloom! I like summer weather (I grew up in the sunny Philippines) but to be honest I’m kinda ready for FALL! Fall=cooler weather= hot chocolate! HA!
Hello everyone! Summer is in full swing here in the PNW:) We just heard on the radio that it’s been 35 days since we have had rain! So don’t believe it when people say it rains everyday here! Anyways, we recently visited our local farmers market (it’s one of my favorite things to do during this time of year). We got lots of goodies like berries, flowers, produce, etc. We had a little picnic after with my loves and shared a chocolate buttery croissant! Hope you’re all having a good weekend:)
Hello Friends! We had a simple Father’s day celebration at my In laws house and lots of family time. It’s my hubs first father’s day so it was so special to celebrate it with him. He is such a loving and protective father to Mia and I’m so grateful for that. We shared BBQ, baked beans, cornbread (everything was delicious!). Happy Father’s day Hubs! We love you:)
Hello friends! My first Mother’s day was pretty special! It was a fun filled weekend and I needed a few days to recover. HA! Mia was dedicated to the Lord that weekend at our Church so that was memorable! She behaved well and didn’t cry when our Pastor prayed over her! Good job Miss Mia:)
We had an early Mother’s day dinner celebration with my In Laws because we we’re also celebrating my MIL’s birthday! It was a Double celebration:) We had dinner at Flat Iron Grill (local restaurant), then had caked and coffee at home.
Mother’s day we had brunch at our house after we got out from Church. My husband prepared crepes, sour cream coffee cake and macaroons that the Hubs baked and prepared too. He was very busy in the kitchen. I’m not into baking so the Hubs took care of that. We took lots of pictures! Enjoy:)
with my Boobear! I got flowers and cards from Hubs and family!

Mia James, we waited for you for a long time! You are God’s gift to us:) Thank you for making me a mama!
Hi Friends! How did your weekend go? We did a lot of errands, when I say errands, I mean shopping! We went to an Asian market in Seattle (traffic was so bad!) and got some Filipino products that I wanted. The main reason we went there was to get Ox tail meat because I wanted to make Kare-Kare for our Sunday dinner with my In-laws. Kare-kare is a filipino dish made of oxtail stew in thick peanut sauce and vegetables (served with shrimp paste). My In-laws liked it, especially my DIL (he’s such a foodie and a food “adventurer”, he will try anything!). We also celebrated Mia’s 7 months, and her daddy baked cupcakes for her! We love you Mia Boo (her new thing lately is giving us kissy ducky face! such a funny little girl:)
A little cinco de mayo celeb at home!weekend naps are the best!Riley is totally ignoring us!hehe
sushi from Metropolitan market!my filipino goodies!our local farmers officially opened this weekend! I got these pink and yellow tulips!Kare-Kare, the Hubs prefers to have the veggies not mixed with the meat!Hehe my DIL enjoying some kare-kare!
Thanks for stopping by friends! Have a great week:)
Hello Friends! Happy May 1st (can’t believe it’s already May). Hope you had a great weekend, ours was quiet! We enjoyed a nice spring day last Friday evening and got out of the house to have a yummy dinner at Cheesecake Factory! The Hubs and I started a Netflix series called “The Night Shift” and so far we’ve been enjoying the medical drama!
Saturday, my SIS visited and spent time with Mia! Thanks Juju for loving on Mimi, she’s blessed to have an auntie that loves on her:)
Auntie Juju giving Mia her dinner!
I plan to clean and declutter this week! Hello Spring Cleaning! Wish me luck, I need all the motivation in the world!
I plan to stick to my meal planning this week! It saves us money and time. Lord help me on this because I’m not very good at consistency, and I always find my self giving in to my unhealthy cravings like RICE (unlimited!) HA! Tonight we had shrimps and mashed potato!
Here’s my meal plan for the week:
M: Shrimps and Mashed potato
T: Chicken curry,rice
W: My In laws usually take care of the food, they come visit us and bring food (I know we’re so blessed). We had salmon, crab cakes, mashed potato and green beans last Wednesday! YUM..
Th: Beef Stroganoff, salad
Friday: Chicken Wings, salad or take out
Saturday: left overs or sandwiches (something simple)
Sunday: Not sure yet (we’ll have my In laws for dinner!)
I only plan for dinner because our breakfast and lunch are the usual stuff like cereals, yogurt, toast, eggs. Lunches are left overs, sandwiches, or junky fast food.
