I&#8217;ve made the world famous Filipino Chicken Adobo. A Filipino comfort food for sure! I love this dish because it&#8217;s so simple and quick (max 45 minutes). The original recipe (Panlasang Pinoy blog) calls for marinading the chicken for 1-3 hours. I skipped that part! The result was still good!* I also added more pepper because I love pepper. I used chicken wings and legs,because wings are my fave part! Mia loved it too based on the sounds she was making when we had dinner the other night!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9102\" src=\"http:\/\/calamariqueen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/adobo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"459\" height=\"612\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.calamariqueen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/adobo.jpg 459w, https:\/\/www.calamariqueen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/adobo-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 459px) 85vw, 459px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-9103\" src=\"http:\/\/calamariqueen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/adobo1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"426\" height=\"568\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.calamariqueen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/adobo1.jpg 426w, https:\/\/www.calamariqueen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/adobo1-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 426px) 85vw, 426px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-9104\" src=\"http:\/\/calamariqueen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/adobo2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"426\" height=\"568\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.calamariqueen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/adobo2.jpg 426w, https:\/\/www.calamariqueen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/adobo2-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 426px) 85vw, 426px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is the recipe I used (Panlasang Pinoy):<\/p>\n<div class=\"ERSIngredients\">\n<div class=\"ERSIngredientsHeader ERSHeading\">Ingredients<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 lbs. chicken, cut into serving pieces<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3 pieces dried bay leaves<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">4 tbsp soy sauce<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 tbsp vinegar<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3 cloves garlic, crushed<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 to 2 cups water<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">\u00bc cup cooking oil<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">\u00bd tablespoon white sugar<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">Salt and whole peppercorn\n<div class=\"ERSInstructions\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERSInstructionsHeader ERSHeading\">Cooking Process:<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">In a large container, combine the soy sauce and garlic then marinade the chicken for at least 1 to 3 hours<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Place the cooking oil in a pan and apply heat<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">When the oil is hot enough, put-in the marinated chicken. Cook all the sides for about 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Pour-in the remaining marinade and add water. Bring to a boil<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the dried bay leaves and whole peppercorn. Simmer for 30 minutes or until the chicken is tender<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add vinegar. Stir and cook for 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Put-in the sugar, and salt. Stir and turn the heat off.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Serve hot.
