{"id":1041,"date":"2011-05-26T05:31:22","date_gmt":"2011-05-26T05:31:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/calamariqueen.wordpress.com\/?p=787"},"modified":"2011-05-26T05:31:22","modified_gmt":"2011-05-26T05:31:22","slug":"tortang-talongeggplant-frittersomelette","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.calamariqueen.com\/?p=1041","title":{"rendered":"Tortang talong\/eggplant fritters\/omelette"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tortang talong or Eggplant omelette is a popular dish in PI. \u00a0Growing up I remember they are always in our school cafeteria. \u00a0I think it&#8217;s cheap yet delicious. \u00a0It&#8217;s so easy to make but one needs patience to prepare this dish. \u00a0You need to roast, peel, fry the eggplant! \u00a0Last week we went to the asian market here in WA so I saw these eggplants and the only way I have eggplant is if it is prepared this way (I&#8217;m not picky eater, promise!). \u00a0The grilling part is not my fave, but this is a very important part of the cooking process, after that stage it&#8217;s like you&#8217;re almost done:)<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_790\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-790\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/calamariqueen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/img_72041-e1307818510692-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-790\" title=\"IMG_7204\" src=\"http:\/\/calamariqueen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/img_72041-e1307818510692-2.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-790\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Roast\/grill eggplants! Think like you&#039;re roasting red peppers..<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>It was kinda raining outside so I had to do it inside! \u00a0HA! even if it&#8217;s not raining I&#8217;d rather grill it this
